Carpet Diem Cleaning had no accurate way to see which lead came from where. Google Ads recorded generic activity, but nothing told a form submission apart from a phone call or a WhatsApp click — and no audience data was being captured to bring back visitors who did not convert the first time.
Event-level counts from the client’s GA4 and Google Ads accounts. No numbers estimated or rounded up.
There was no event-level tracking — a form submission, a phone call and a WhatsApp click all disappeared into the same generic conversion count. Lead behaviour could not be analysed by channel, device or landing page, and no audience data was being kept on visitors who left without converting.
Five connected pieces of work, starting May 9, 2026.
Individual GTM tags for the three real ways a visitor becomes a lead — Form Submit, Call Click and WhatsApp Click. Instead of one vague “conversion”, every lead is now tagged by exactly how it happened.
Each GTM event was connected into GA4 as a distinct, trackable event, so lead behaviour can be analysed by channel, device and landing page. The same events were registered as Google Ads conversion actions, so the account can optimise toward the specific action a visitor took.
A Looker Studio dashboard pulls from GA4 and Google Ads so the client sees performance in plain numbers without logging into either platform. A remarketing audience built from that visitor data now re-engages people who visited but did not convert on their first visit.
This event-level breakdown is the direct output of the GTM and GA4 setup — before this work, none of these three lead types were separated or reliably counted at all. The account now has real event-level attribution instead of a single conversion number.

Before this engagement there was no reliable way to separate a form submission from a phone call, and no data being kept on visitors who left without converting. Now every lead is tagged by type and channel, reported automatically in a live dashboard, and visitors who do not convert immediately are followed up with through remarketing — turning a one-shot ad click into an ongoing chance to become a customer.
Note: figures above reflect the same tracked conversion data covered in the Carpet Diem Ads performance case study. This version focuses on the analytics and tracking implementation behind those numbers, not the ad spend results themselves.
We’ll look at your tags, your GA4 setup and your conversion actions, then tell you which leads you are currently unable to tell apart.
