Caspa Media was reporting lead numbers its tracking couldn’t back up. Crovilo came in as the technical tracking partner — auditing conversion actions, rebuilding GTM and GA4 across the client roster, and putting guardrails on the ad spend.
Scope and outcomes from the agency engagement. Individual client performance figures are not published here.
Across the roster, primary lead actions were set to count every interaction instead of one, so a single enquiry could report as several. Legacy GA3/GA4 conflicts and unverified GTM triggers added more noise, Search Partners and Display expansion drained budget on non-converting traffic, and no conversion carried a value — so Google Ads had nothing to bid toward.
Three phases, rolled out account by account across the client roster.
Switched primary lead actions — form enquiries, phone calls, online bookings — from Count: Every to Count: One, and demoted generic pageviews and button clicks from primary to secondary so bidding stopped chasing non-leads.
Custom data layer, tags, triggers and variables; standardised key events (contact_form_submit, phone_click, online_booking_click); cross-domain and thank-you page generate_lead tracking; Google Signals and demographic collection verified.
Tailored negative keyword lists to cut competitor, DIY and repair searches, Search Partners and Display expansion switched off on Search campaigns, and target lead values assigned to enable value-based bidding.
This engagement was about data integrity rather than a single campaign’s numbers. With duplicate lead reporting removed, Caspa Media could finally hand clients a true cost per acquisition — and every implementation was tested and confirmed in GTM Preview and GA4 DebugView before sign-off.

Before this engagement, lead metrics were inflated by conversion counting, unverified triggers and legacy tracking conflicts — so client reporting couldn’t be trusted and Google Ads was bidding on the wrong signals. We rebuilt the conversion architecture, standardised events across accounts, and cut the wasted placements.
Note: this engagement covered tracking and conversion architecture across the agency’s client roster. Individual client campaign performance figures are not published here.
We’ll audit your conversion actions, your GTM and GA4 setup, and your campaign settings to find where your numbers — and your budget — are leaking.
